Residential I
Residential Week is a tremendous opportunity for boys and girls to improve as players, make friends and to enjoy all the benefits of a great camp experience on the beautiful UGA campus. Our knowledgeable and outgoing coaching staff provides a combination of elite level training with pure fun to create a memorable camp experience.
Although we welcome both boys and girls to this camp, the groups are separated for all facets of the camp including training and matches. The genders are also separated in the dorms but may share some meals.
Technical Training
The technical development of our campers is included in each field session. Players will be exposed to advanced techniques for shooting, dribbling, receiving, turning, heading, and more. Our coaches will take players through each step of the techniques to ensure proper development and execution.
Tactical Training
Tactical training is featured in our afternoon sessions when the campers are grouped into their teams. Our expert staff of coaches will help organize your team into an effective system of play and teach your players their roles within that system. Topics covered include principles of attack and defense, switching fields, overlapping, and organizing the box. Teams will get to test what they’ve learned in the evening matches.
Evening Matches
Each day culminates with full-sided 11 v 11 matches on full-size fields.
Goalkeeper Training
A specialized goalkeeper camp is help in conjunction with the Team Week Camp. Goalkeepers will receive separate instruction from the field players led by Jon Harvey, the Georgia Bulldogs’ Goalkeepers Coach. Proper technique for diving, boxing, parrying, and distribution is emphasized.
The Staff
Georgia Soccer Camps provide a tremendous opportunity for players to not only receive expert instruction, but to also gain exposure to collegiate coaches with the means to recruit them. Our staff is comprised of many college and elite level club coaches as well as members of the Bulldogs soccer team. Current and former staff coaches include:
The Georgia Bulldogs
Campers will also be exposed to the Georgia Bulldog players who provide a wonderful model for technical expertise and training habits. Our players will be accessible on and off the field. For many campers this is their first true interaction with high-level female soccer players and part of an inspirational camp experience.
Safety and Supervision
Safety is always our top priority at camp. Campers are given adequate water breaks, plenty of recovery time, and have 24 hour supervision. Certified athletic trainers are always on-call in case of emergency. Parents are welcome to attend any of the training sessions.
