High School Team Camp for Girls
June 24-27, 2012

"I was very happy with the Team Camp and got the experience I went looking for. I wanted to send you a sincere thank you for everything.  I have to tell you, prior to camp I was not a Georgia fan, but you guys won me over.  Thanks so much!"
- Jen Barr, Head Coach, Northview High School

"Thanks for an awesome camp experience! The highlights were the level of competition, the Olympics, the 4v4 tourney, the quality of coaching and your willingness to bring us into the UGA soccer world.  I have been to quite a few team camps, but you all were on hand to answer questions, provide advice and show us how you do things at UGA - that made a difference.
-James Jordan, Head Coach, Stratford Academy

"For the past three years Georgia Soccer Camp has been a great experience for our program.  It’s a chance for my players to work with college coaches and get a feel for the college experience on the UGA campus.  There are competitive training environments through the day, and evening games games that push my kids to be better players."
Judson Hamby - Head Coach, Parkview H.S.

High School Team Week is a tremendous opportunity for your team to get a head-start on the competition and to enjoy all the benefits of a great camp experience on our beautiful campus. Our knowledgeable and outgoing coaching staff provides a combination of elite level training with pure fun to create a memorable camp experience.

Technical Training
The technical development of our campers is included in each field session. Players will be exposed to advanced techniques for shooting, dribbling, receiving, turning, heading, and more. Our coaches will take players through each step of the techniques to ensure proper development and execution.

Tactical Training
Tactical training is featured in our afternoon sessions when the campers are grouped into their teams. Our expert staff of coaches will help organize your team into an effective system of play and teach your players their roles within that system. Topics covered include principles of attack and defense, switching fields, overlapping, and organizing the box. Teams will get to test what they have learned in the evening matches.

Goalkeeper Training
A specialized goalkeeper camp is help in conjunction with the High School Team Camp. Goalkeepers will receive separate instruction from the field players led by Jon Harvey, goalkeeper coach for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Goalkeeper Camp includes technical work on shot handling, diving, crosses, breakaways, foot skills and distribution and is appropriate for players with prior goalkeeper training.

The Staff
The Steve Holeman Soccer Camps at UGA provide a tremendous opportunity for players to not only receive expert instruction, but to also gain exposure to collegiate coaches with the means to recruit them. Our staff is comprised of many college and elite level club coaches as well as members of the Georgia soccer team.

High School Coaches
Coaches can attend with their teams free of charge. You will be housed on campus at one of our state of the art dormitories and your meals will be provided. You will have virtually unlimited access to our staff to discuss ideas that will aid your development as a coach. We feature classroom sessions for coaches to discuss tactical preparations and adjustments with the Georgia coaching staff.

The Georgia Bulldogs
Campers will also be exposed to the Georgia players who provide a wonderful model for technical expertise and training habits. Our players will be accessible on and off the field. For many campers this is their first true interaction with high-level female players and part of an inspirational camp experience.

Safety and Supervision
Safety is always our top priority at camp. Campers are given adequate water breaks, plenty of recovery time, and have 24 hour supervision. Certified athletic trainers are always on-call in case of emergency. Parents are welcome to attend any of the training ssessions.

The commuter fees for the overnight camp include instruction, as well as lunch and dinner. Commuters must check-in on the first day of camp at the same dorm location as the Resident campers. Commuter sessions on the following days will run from approximately 8:45 am to 8:00 pm.  A detailed daily schedule will be provided at check-in.
